Thoughts To Live By
- Baseball is a team sport no one player wins or looses a game, you win and loose as a team, so work as a team.
- Umpires do not loose the game for you " The team does ", I have heard so many times (if the umpire wouldn't have made that bad call) don't give them that opportunity.
- When on the field always give 150%, coaches always put the players on the field that they think want and deserve to be there.
- Always run on and off the field at all times including practices.
- Coaches are the only ones allowed to reprimand a player, as a team mate you are there to pick them up if we brake them down.
- Don't be afraid to try, you can't succeed until you try. And you will get more grief from a coach for not trying than trying and failing.
- Mental errors are not acceptable always know what you are supposed to do before you have to do it.
- When on the field "communicate, communicate, communicate" that is one of the keys to winning games.
- When a team mate makes an error on a play don't let them get down, pick them up if they need it and keep them in the game.
- Sportsmanship above all, showing good sportsmanship when loosing is as important as good sportsmanship when winning.
